Using Elmikapor tape in various insulating systems

The working life of composites based on mica-sheet paper and polyethylene-terephthalate film and corresponding structures is investigated. It is established that introducing a polymer film in the composite and activating its surface increases the working life and uniformity of both the materials and the corresponding insulating systems. Some deterioration in performance of the insulating systems relative to the initial materials is associated with the manufacturing technologies employed in practice.
