Gas myelography by the lumbar route

The authors indicate the importance of gas myelography in the investigation of spinal cord and vertebral pathology. Based on 446 gas myelograms carried out in the Neurosurgical Clinic at Bucharest they describe the roentgenological findings in intravertebral disc pathology, arachnoiditis, spinal cord tumours, and spinal cord atrophy. The authors regard the method as both safe and very useful.
