A High-Performance LDO with Temperature-Coefficient Calibration

2020
We proposed a high-performance Low-dropout regulator (LDO). A temperature-coefficient (TC) calibration is used to achieve low-temperature drift. It mirrors the PTAT current and is controlled by the digital configuration code K to get a certain proportion of positive TC current to calibrate the LDO TC. This LDO is implemented in TSMC 65nm CMOS process. The simulation results indicate that the LDO starts quick and outputs 1V static voltage. And it has a good stability performance as well as temperature characteristic with an 8.06ppm/°C TC. Its power supply rejection (PSR) is about -40dB at low frequency, line regulation (LNR) is 8.91 mV/V and load regulation (LDR) is 1.58mV/V.
