New Classified Pd III Lines in the Region 550–1010 Å

2005
The spectrum of palladium was photographed in the region 550–1010 A using 6.65 normal incidence vacuum spectrograph of Zeeman Laboratory Amsterdam, The Netherlands. Using sliding spark in ceramic spacer as a light source, all the spectrograms were recorded on Kodak SWR plates and measured by means of Ziess‐Abbe comparator of the National Research Center Dokki, Cairo. Based on the new measurements 40 new lines belonging to the 4d8‐4d75p transition array and 10 new lines to the 4d75s‐4d75p system have been classified. A comparison between the fitted parameters of known systems of Ru I isoelectronic sequence has been done. Improved wavelength values have led to obtaining a better wavenumbers for the intervals.
