Many-Year Reaction of the Population of Ixodes Persulcatus P. Sch. Ticks to a Single Introduction of Stable Residual Acaricide into Their Habitats

1973
The objective of the work was (1) to study the conditions for the formation of the population of ticks after its extermination on a relatively large territory (over 12 thousand hectars); (2) to establish a relationship between the duration of the effect of extermination of I. persulcatus, the duration of residual action of DDT, and rate of introduction of ticks, when there is a certain abundance of ticks and of their hosts in the adjacent untreated territory.
