Influence of grouts on unconfined creep behaviour of grouted Fontainebleau sand: experimental study and primary creep modelling
2002
This article deals with the creep behaviour of two new grouts—a cement-based grout and a mineral-based grout—in comparison with silicate grout. Results show that Fontainebleau sand grouted with new grouts presents few creep strains whereas silicate grout causes sand to become viscous. Long-term unconfined creep tests are performed on grouted sand for creep study and creep limit determination. Creep curves prove that new-generation grouted sands are stable over time. Primary creep modelling was done with the Singh and Mitchell law for all grouted sands, and parameter values were discussed. A parametric study makes evident the influence of the different parameters of this model.
