Curing of epoxy resins with dicyandiamide : model investigations with substituted dicyandiamides

The mechanism of the epoxy resin curing with dicyandiamide was studied using the model phenyl glycidyl ether and different substituted dicyandiamides. Some reaction products were isolated by HPLC and characterized by FTIR and Carbon-13 NMR spectroscopy.
