The purpose of the present invention is to provide a method for quickly producing an accurate dental prosthesis (10). This method comprises: a melting step for melting a material that contains from 60.0% by mass to 80.0% by mass (inclusive) of SiO 2 , from 10.0% by mass to 20.0% by mass (inclusive) of Li 2 O and from 5.1% by mass to 10.0% by mass (inclusive) of Al 2 O 3 ; a glass blank forming step for obtaining a glass blank by cooling and solidifying the melted material; a lithium disilicate blank forming step for obtaining a lithium disilicate blank, wherein the main crystal phase is configured of lithium disilicate, by heating the glass blank; and a processing step for subjecting the lithium disilicate blank to machine processing.
