Seabirds as Pests
1987
Animals come to be considered pests when they interfere with the way in which we utilize our environment, for example by competing with us for resources, damaging our constructions or spreading disease. The more successful they are in so doing, the more seriously we consider them as pests. For obvious reasons, the greater the local population size of a particular pest species, the less it tends to be tolerated.
