eFlore du Maghreb, une flore électronique basée sur la Nouvelle flore d’Algérie de P. Quézel et S. Santa

In 1962-1963, Pierre Quezel and Sebastien Santa published the Nouvelle flore d’Algerie et des regions desertiques meridionales. The current paper explains the reasons and the need to update the information of this book that has been out of print for many years, while taking advantage of digital tools, both for the iconographic and nomenclatural content and for the open access distribution. The objective is to provide a digital flora covering Morocco, Algeria and Tunisia by involving both specialists and amateurs, to create a dynamics of floristic research in this biodiversity hotspot.
