The purpose of this research was to develop a database on the lifestyles of the elderly in the Bolivar Province, based on six functional patterns of Marjory Gordon: Pattern 1 Perception - health management, Pattern 2 nutritional - metabolic, Pattern 3 activity - exercise, Pattern 4 sleep - rest, Pattern 5 Self-perception - self-concept, Pattern 6 Role - relationships; baseline that contains updated information that allows knowing the reality of the elderly in the province, maintaining a sustained and long-term work with them in relation to achieving their well-being and happiness. The type of study is descriptive and cross-sectional, the study population is made up of 1049 Older Adults from the Bolivar province, the information gathering technique was the survey, which was applied to adults over 3 residential gerontological centers, a center for day care, and 12 alternative spaces at the province level, the processing of the information was carried out with the support of an expert in statistics, the results allow to demonstrate the priority problem presented by the elderly in the Bolivar province in regard to their lifestyles in relation to the mentioned functional patterns. The most significant results of this research were: in pattern 1. Perception - Health Management, 44% are evidenced, demonstrating the highest percentage of older adults with chronic noncommunicable diseases, nutritional pattern 2 - metabolic, it is observed that in 54 % of older adults surveyed do not consume fluids often and it is shown with 56% they have more preference and consumption the flours, pattern 3 activity -exercise, it is observed that 56% of the population surveyed consider that it is very important for their life although they do not like to perform physical activity, pattern 4 sleep - rest it is observed that 37% of older adults very often cannot fall asleep , but 58% say they can sleep normally for up to 7 hours at night, 6 role - relationship pattern. I can determine that 37% live with their spouse while 22% live alone.It is concluded that through this research it helps us to highlight the priority problems that the elderly population of the Bolivar province is going through and that we as future health professionals should be involved in the care and relationship with adults as each of our adults The elderly adapt to different vital processes, real or potential health problems, considering their current social situation, social relationships, general health, social-family dependence, institutional care, life satisfaction, physical activity and adequate nutrition.
