Normotansif Erken Dönem Romatoid Artrit Hastalarında Arteryel Sertlik Bozulmamıştır

Bu calismanin amaci romatoid artrit (RA) ile arteryel sertlik arasindaki iliskinin incelenmesidir. 23 RA hastasi ve 24 kontrol grubu arteryel sertlik acisindan geriye donuk olarak degerlendirilmistir. Arteryel sertlik degerlendirmesi icin beta indeksi ve aortik distansibilite kullanilmistir. RA grubunda ortalama yas 47 kontrol grubunda 44 idi. Kontrol grubu ve RA grubu arasinda arteryel sertlik acisindan anlamli fark yoktu. Beta indeksi RA grubunda 22.65±14,83, kontrol grubunda 18,21±8,98 (p=0,21) idi. Aortik distansibilite RA grubunda 0,43±0,28 kontrol grubunda 0,51±0,28 (p=0,78) idi. Karotis intima media kalinligi RA grubunda 0,60±0,18 mm, kontrol grubunda 0,59±0,12mm (p=0,33) idi. Bu calismadaki RA hastalarinda arteryel sertlik etkilenmemistir. Anahtar kelimeler: Arteryel sertlik, artik distansibilite, beta indeks, romatoid artrit Abstract The aim of the study was to evaluate the arterial stiffness in patients with rheumatoid arthritis. We retrospectively analysed 23 rheumatoid arthritis (RA) patients and 24 control subjects regarding arterial stiffness. We used the beta index and aortic distensibility to evaluate the arterial stiffness. Mean age was 47 (±11.7) in RA and 44 (±12.5) in control subjects. We did not find any significant difference between RA group and control subjects regarding beta index, aortic distensibility, and carotid artery intimal medial thickness. Beta index was 22.65±14.83 in RA and 18.21±8.98 in control subjects (p=0,21). Aortic distensibility was 0.43±0.28 in RA and 0.51±0.28 in control group (p=0,78). Carotid intimal medial thickness was 0.60±0,18 mm and 0.59±0.12; respectively (p=0.33). Arterial stiffness is not impaired in normotensive patients with RA in early period.
