BIOCHEMICAL AND CIRCLING BEHAVIORAL ALTERATIONS FOLLOWING INJECTION OF MPTP INTO SNC IN RAT

MPTP (1-methyl-4-phenyl-1, 2, 3, 6-tetrahydropyridine) is a byproduct formed during the synthesis of a meperidine analog. Davis (1979) and Langston (1983) reported a group of drug addicts who developed classical Parkinsonism after self-administration of a mixture containing MPTP, their pathological and biochemical changes
