A EXPERIÊNCIA DA HEMODIÁLISE E MUDANÇA DE VIDA

2018
Introduction: Renal insufficiency is a disease characterized by a rapid reduction in renal function, resulting in decreased urine and loss of the urine, ie loss of the chemical balance and normal function of the organism, until the majority of the percentages are higher in renal function, causing the patient to acquire several disabilities, which often require long follow-up periods (NEPOMUCENO et al., 2014). Objectives: main: To describe in front of the scientific literature as hemodialysis influences the change of the patient's life. Specifics: Identify the changes that occur in the daily life of patients with chronic renal failure, Understand the feelings expressed by patients undergoing hemodialysis. Methodology: The study is an integrative review of the literature (MENDES; SILVEIRA; GALVAO, 2008). Results: 8 scientific articles were selected in the Portuguese language between 2011 and 2016, available free of charge using the descriptors hemodialysis, quality of life and nursing, the Virtual Health Library (VHL) and the Scientific Eletronic Library Online (SCIELLO). After analyzing the data, two analytical categories were reached: 1 Changes in daily life and 2 Life expectancy. In the first category it was observed that daily and work activities were impaired. In the second category Life expectancy is related to the adaptation of the new life with changes in eating habits, socioeconomic conditions, withdrawal from work and affective life difficulties. Final considerations: It was evidenced that after the onset of hemodialysis the life of the dialytic undergoes sudden changes. Food, family, social and financial issues lead the individual to readjust and adapt to this new reality. The health team is an important factor in helping these new adaptations and needs, as it promotes support and guidelines that help in improving the quality of life of hemodialysis.
