Analysis of Constant Real Power Flow Injection From PV System to Power Grid

2020
Due to increase in demand of green energy, Hybrid PV system is no longer an auxiliary power source but have become a part of electricity generation system. In case of grid connected PV System, it is desirable that system should supply constant real power to grid at high power factor, even when there is variation of local load supplied by PV system. In this paper control mechanism is proposed in which constant real power is injected into the grid taking load variation into account. Battery storage system is employed and used in charging mode simulate hybrid system and injection of harmonics in PV current. Power flow is controlled by adjusting phase shift of inverter to change its power factor. Constant power injection into the grid for different cases of load variation is studied and its effect on power factor at different buses is considered and scheme is proposed which addresses issues faced by this system.
