Essentials of Neurology ed 2.

The second edition of this short textbook of neurology is a thorough revision and something of an expansion of the first which appeared in 1961. The new material reflects the developments of the intervening five years, including echo-encephalography, radioactive brain scanning, etc, and especially presents a more extensive final chapter on treatment in neurology which is of particular value. The author hopes "to help the undergraduate or postgraduate student to learn the principles of neurologic diagnosis and treatment." One may be sure that his hopes are realized. The first 11 chapters are devoted to the cardinal symptoms and signs of neurological disease, to the mechanism of their production, and to the pathologic changes responsible for them.
