Toward a New Policy in Adult Corrections

The author proposes a new social policy incorporating the principles of tolerance, self-determination, and self-responsibility. Specific programs and procedures calling for extensive changes in the structure of our correctional systems are outlined. An essential objective of these programs and procedures is to insure active inmate involvement and initiative in correctional programs.
