FORMATION OF INCLUSIONS AND THEIR INFLUENCE ON THE INTRAGRANULAR FERRITE NUCLEATION

2004
The paper is devoted to the evaluation of mutual relationships between the inclusion types, their basic chemical metallurgy properties and parameters of intragranular acicular ferrite (AF) nucleation. Among the basic characteristics the investigation of influence associated with changes of chemical free enthalpy by heterogeneous ferrite nucleation on non - metallic inclusions and/or precipitates, chemical metallurgy properties of AF - nucleants interfacial boundaries and the deformation energy level induced by those processes are included. The formation parameters of multiphase inclusions in C-Mn steel deoxidised with Ti (Ti2O3) are described. Further, the AF intragranular nucleation processes realised at the inclusions having multiphase structure are analyses in detail.
