A Nutritional Clinical Staffing Model

The purpose of this short report is to to predict demands (measured in relative value unit or RVU) for nutritional services of a future patient based on patient’s demographic attributes (such as age), clinical variables (patient-specific such as systolic (diastolic) blood pressure, or ward (stop)-specific such as high level of nutrition status code assigned), utilization variables (such as total inpatient days spent admitted at a VA facility), and case-mix (i.e., aggregated condition category codes).
