SINIS junction series arrays for the Josephson arbitrary waveform synthesizer

The Josephson arbitrary waveform synthesizer (JAWS) is based on Josephson junctions operated by short pulses. We describe the development of SINIS Josephson series arrays for applications in this JAWS that were performed within the framework of the EU-funded JAWS project.
