Survey of Anisakis infection in marine fishes on market in Shenzhen, China

Objective To investigate the infection status of Anisakis in marine fishes on market in Shenzhen thus to provide scientific evidence for control and prevention of anisakiasis in human.Methods Marine fishes and raw fish product were collected and dissected.then the larva of A nisakis were separated and identified under microscopy.The infection rate and infection intensity of Anisakis were calculated.Results The total infection rate was 31.89％(81/254).The high infection rates were found in Trichiurus haumela,Muraenesox cinereus,Pseudosciaenapolyactis,Pseudosciaena crocea,and Priacanthus macracanthus.The total infection intensity ranged from 2 to 88 per fish,and the average infection intensity was 17.48 per fish.Conclusion The infection rate of Anisakis was high in marine fishes on Shenzhen markets.The risk of human infection with A nisakis exists.
