Pt/SSZ-13 as an efficient catalyst for the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with H2

2019
Superior activity and selectivity of a Pt/SSZ-13 catalyst in the selective catalytic reduction of NOx with H2 (H2-SCR) were observed, in comparison with those of Pt/ZSM-5 and Pt/SAPO-34 catalysts. A maximum NOx conversion of 81% can be achieved at 100 °C on Pt/SSZ-13 with a N2 selectivity of 93% (GHSV = 50 000 h−1). Meanwhile, the Pt/SSZ-13 catalyst exhibited better SO2 and H2O resistance and reaction durability than the other two Pt catalysts. The influence of NO2 on H2-SCR activity was investigated. It was found that the increase of NO2 concentration in the feed gas mixture led to an activity decline. In addition, the possible H2-SCR reaction routes over the Pt/SSZ-13 catalyst at different temperatures were proposed. The results of this study suggested that Pt/SSZ-13 is a promising candidate as a catalyst for H2-SCR with great potential for either mobile or stationary sources.
