User-response Study of Computer Networking Cables in Parts of South-eastern Nigeria

2009
The t ype o f cables us ed in co mputer net working i s so i mportant that network adm inistrators have to make choice o f cables to use f or a particular net work. In this study, response models are developed in rel ation t o the use to which som e net working cab les ar e put i n A kwa Ibom, Cross River, Imo and Rivers States in South Eastern Nigeria. Generally, it is shown that the best available relationships that fit the d ata wel l for all the st ates ar e exp onential response curves of the f orm % R = a exp (b)N and CR= a' exp(b')N where %R and CR are percentage and cumulative responses respectively, N is frequency and a, b, a' and b' are constants that characterize the States. Percentage responses on preferred cables and those c urrently i n use have been d etermined for ea ch of the states.
