Improved RF return loss and bandwidth for 2.5 Gbps electroabsorption modulated laser (EML) modules

In recent years, laser diodes of high performance have been widely applied in long haul optical transmission of high speed signals. Electroabsorption modulated lasers (EML) are considered to be a promising component due to their low chirp property. We developed 2.5 Gbps EML modules using a specially designed microstrip line.
