The role of the National Kidney Foundation in cadaveric transplantation in Saudi Arabia

The number of chronic renal failure patients in the Kingdom of Saudi Arabia (KSA) has increased over the years. At the end of 1989, this number reached 2100 patients (Figure 1). It is gratifying to note that in answer to this evident need there has been a proportionate increase in the number of dialysis facilities to the present total of 76 centers.
