A machine for investigating friction and wear of antifriction materials at sliding speeds up to 50 m/sec

The application of new sintered materials, bearing materials in particular, in mechanical engineering makes it necessary to determine their performance under conditions which simulate those obtaining in service. To this end, a machine for measuring the wear of antifriction materials operating at high sliding speeds and at elevated temperatures was constructed at the Institute of Materials Science AS UkrSSR.
