Axial gap rotating electrical machine

2012
The purpose of the present invention is to provide a low-cost, highly-reliable axial gap rotating electrical machine having improved ease of assembly. The axial gap rotating electrical machine having rotors on both sides of a stator in the axial direction, wherein a holding member (1) that is constituted by a non-conductive and non-magnetic material, holds a stator core and has a coil wound therearound, is held by a housing in the axial direction by making the rigidity of at least the outer peripheral side portions of flange sections (2, 2') stronger than other flange portions, and positioning the outer peripheral side portions having strong rigidity in a stepped structure of the housing.
