Control study of the skin degerming effectiveness of compound iodine and iodophor

2009
Objective To explore more convenient and effective method of skin degerming by comparing the effctiveness of Yangchi compound iodine and iodophor. Methods Divided 104 volu-teers into the experimental group and the control group randomly, there were 52 cases in the each group. Cases in the control group were sterilized with iodophor routinely twice, while the cases in the experimental group were treated with cotton swab dipped compound iodine once. Compared the time of sterilizing and drying by seconds- counter, in addition, the length of cotton swab dipped disinfec-tant should be measured too. Results The sterilizing time in the experimental group was shorter than that in the control group, while the drying time was longer than that in the control group signifi-cantly. The length of cotton swab dipped disinfectant in the experimental group was longer than that in the control group. Conclusions Both compound iodine and iodophor can live up to the end of steril-izing, but utilization of the former is more convenient.
