Spectral Imaging of Green Coating Camouflage Under Hyperspectral Detection

2009
A hyperspectral imaging method which could recognize all the current green camouflage coatings effectively was proposed based on the essential relfectance spectrum difference between current green camouflage coatings and vegetation. The green reflectance peak in visible waveband and reflectance fluctuation of near infrared plateau during 780nm to 1300nm were effective spectral characteristics for recognizing green camouflage coatings from hyperspectral remote sensing data, which was found by analyzing the difference of reflectance spectrum and its first order differentiation between green camouflage coatings and vegetation leaves. The imaging of near infrared plateau reflectance spectrum is an effective method to realize visual recognition of camouflage targets for hyperspectral detection.Especially, imaging of the first order differentiation of reflectance spectrum could ehance the recognition of green camouflage coatings in vegetation enviroment.
