SISTEMA DE REUSO DE ÁGUA DA CHUVA PARA RESIDÊNCIAS PEQUENAS (70 m²) NO MUNICÍPIO DE RIO VERDE, GOIÁS, CENTRO-OESTE, BRASIL

2021
A shortage of water has been debated and is a problem in several places around the world or shows the need for actions aimed at the efficient use of this resource. Thus, the objective of this work was to collect, store and reuse water collected from the roof for the residence of the Brazilian government's national project “Minha Casa, Minha Vida” (70 m2) in the municipality of Rio Verde, Goias - centro-western Brazil. Monthly average data over a 19-year period (1996 - 2015) was used. Simulate maximum storage to ensure the dry season. The average weekly water consumption was estimated considering three people per household. Considers car water consumption, lawn/garden area, flush basin, use of washing machine and floor washing. In the months of March greater (November-March), as the needs of people in the residence were met, and it was still possible to store water for use in the drought statistics. The months of February, March, April, and December reached the storage capacity of the reservoir (20,000 L) only for a residence with one and two people. For three people, just a month before March the water tank was completely filled. In this way, the stored water supplied all the needs in the dry months, as the demand did not reach the reservoir capacity. Thus, the reuse of roof water provides savings in drinking water and financial savings in the medium to long term.
