Body with honeycomb structure comprising a plurality of cells placed in parallel with one another in a longitudinal direction with a cell wall in intermediate arrangement and having a porosity of 40 to 60%, wherein said body with honeycomb structure comprising either a number of porous ceramic members each of which comprises a plurality of cells placed in parallel with one another in a longitudinal direction with a cell wall in intermediate arrangement, bonded together via a layer of sealing material, or an element porous ceramic having integral form as a whole, which member comprises a plurality of cells placed in parallel with each other in the longitudinal direction with a cell wall in intermediate disposition; wherein each of the cells has either one end or input side of the output side of the gas exhaust sealed with a plug; wherein said plurality of porous ceramic members have, or said porous ceramic member has, an apparent density of 0.7 g / cm 3 or less; and that an oxide catalyst excluding a noble metal catalyst, is supported on at least a portion of said cell wall.
