A CHINESE METAMORPHOSIS.

The article examines the life and work of the Beijing, China-based artist Wang Jianwei. Particular focus is given to his contributions to contemporary Chinese art through video, sculpture and installation. Additional topics discussed include the exhibition "Time Temple" at the Solomon R. Guggenheim Museum in New York City through February 16, 2014, how his work examines the social climate in China and his work in performance art.
