Попытки установления первых культурных и торговых контактов России с ханствами Средней Азии в XVIII веке

The author presents examples from the archive materials to find out and analyze cultural and trade contacts of the Russian empire with the khans of the Central Asia during the XVIII century. Analyzing the activities of Russia, the author comes to the conclusion that the Russians planned offensive operations to the Central Asian territories.
