A process for preparing Phenylenbisoxazolinen

The invention relates to a process for the preparation of 1,3-and 1,4-Phenylenbisoxazolinen Phenylenbisoxazolinen of general formula I by reacting an aromatic dinitrile of the general formula II with a 2-amino alcohol of the general formula III, wherein R in the presence of a suitable catalyst, wherein the catalyst, the amino alcohol and, if necessary, a suitable solvent are introduced at the reaction temperature and the dinitrile used in each case is added.
