Evaluation of Screening US–detected Breast Masses by Combined Use of Elastography and Color Doppler US with B-Mode US in Women with Dense Breasts: A Multicenter Prospective Study

According to our prospective multicenter results, the positive predictive value for biopsy recommendation significantly increased from 8.9% to 23.2% with the addition to B-mode US to both elastography and color Doppler US; 68% of unnecessary biopsies for nonmalignant lesions may be avoided.
