Preparation and Characterization of Inclusion Compound of β-Carotene with β-Cyclodextrin as [5]-Pseudorotaxanes

A new pseudorotaxanes formed in 1∶1 alcohol-water solution,by self-assembly of a wire-type molecule β -carotene and four cyclodextrin molecules was reported.Elemental analysis methods proved the existence of -pseudorotaxanes. Meanwhile, characterizations of the pseudorotaxanes were studied by UV-VIS, FTIR. X-ray diffractometry and ~(1)HNMR.
