The Hematopathology and Diagnostic Challenges of Rare Lymphomas

Appropriate therapy for lymphomas of all types depends on accurate and timely diagnosis. However, challenges faced in rare lymphoma classification underscore the need for continued clinical and biologic investigation and a careful interdisciplinary approach to patient care. This chapter introduces the complexity and nuance involved in the diagnosis of lymphoma. There will be a particular emphasis on uncommon lymphoma subtypes and diagnostic pitfalls.
