No-effect of a static uniform magnetic field on mouse trypanosomiasis

1983
Diffdrent effects of exposure of animals to variable magnetic fields have been related: enhancement of tumoral immunity [6, 9, 10], decreasing of phagocytosis ability [7, 8, 10], an increase in the length of survival of mice with neuroblastoma grafts [2]. Static non uniform magnetic fields have led to not as strong an immunisation by cell [5] and to a local enhancement of tumour grafts [4] and chimio-induced tumours [3]. The mouse trypanosomiasis was the experimental model used here to look for an effect of static uniform magnetic fields on an immunitary system.
