The invention relates to a rotary type compressor having a crankshaft having an eccentric shaft portion formed therein, a drum in orbit which receives torque from the crank shaft by the eccentric shaft portion and a bearing means for rotatable supporting the crankshaft. According to the invention, at least one of the eccentric shaft portion (22) and the bearing means comprises a sleeve (25) and a curved surface portion (22b) in rotational engagement. The invention is particularly applicable to compressors for refrigeration or air conditioning.
