Development of a BCI-Based Application Using EEG to Assess Attentional Control

2020
The main objective of this paper is to introduce a new and interactive way of assessing an individual’s attentional capabilities with the help of EEG-based signals running a BCI serious game. Brain–computer interface technology is used to realize this objective by studying the EEG readings emitted by the brain and process the data in real time to play games and also study the brain activity for medical research. The goal is to create a seamless interface that can be used both by the medical and entertainment industry. In this paper, we have devised a convenient and effective process to assess attentional value and developed a game that takes advantage of the focus parameter provided by the BCI headset.
