Method and system for providing picture caller identification information

PURPOSE: A method for providing caller identifier of a picture and a system thereof are provided to accurately discern a caller by providing more concrete information such as picture caller identifier to a receiver. CONSTITUTION: The first terminal(210) of a caller transmits a set-up message according to a call attempt. The second terminal(250) of a receiver includes a display part(254). An exchange unit includes a storing part(232) storing picture caller identifier representing each terminal. The exchange unit confirms whether the storing part(232) stores the picture caller identifier of the first terminal(210). If stores, the exchange unit transmits the picture caller identifier of the first terminal(210) to the second terminal(250), so that the picture caller identifier of the first terminal(210) is displayed at the display part(254) of the second terminal(250) as caller identifier.
