Tıp Fakültesi Öğrencilerinin Depresyon, Anksiyete, Stres Düzeyleri ve İlişkili Faktörler

Amac: Tip fakultesindeki ogrencilerinin depresyon, anksiyete ve stres duzeylerini belirlemek ve bu durumlarin iliskili oldugu faktorleri incelemesi amaclanmistir. Gerec ve Yontem: Tip fakultesi ogrencileri uzerinde tabakali ornekleme yontemi ile yapilmis kesitsel bir calismadir. Katilimcilara sosyodemografik anket ve Depresyon Anksiyete ve Stres Olcegi (DASO) uygulanmistir. Verilerin analizinde SPSS 19 paket programi kullanilmistir. Tanimlayici istatistiklerde ortalama ve standart sapmalar verilmistir. Ogrencilerin Depresyon Anksiyete Stres Olcek puan ortalamalarinin demografik ozelliklere gore karsilastirilmasinda Kruskal Wallis testi, Mann Whitney U testi kullanilmistir. Istatistiksel olarak p<0,05 anlamli kabul edilmistir. Bulgular: Arastirmada ogrencilerin %49,2’sinde depresyon belirti varligi; %46,7’sinde anksiyete belirti varligi ve %49,8’inde stres belirti varligi saptanmistir. Cinsiyet, anne ve babanin medeni durumu, maddi gelir algisi, duzenli spor yapma, alkol kullanimi, kronik hastalik olup olmamasi acisindan olcekten alinan puanlar arasinda anlamli farklilik saptanmamistir. DASO puan ortalamalari ogrencilerin sinifina, ders basari durumuna, tip fakultesini isteyerek tercih etme durumuna, yil tekrari olup olmamasina, daha once ruhsal bir problemi olup olmamasina, saglik durumu algisina gore istatistiksel acidan anlamli farklilik saptanmistir (p<0,05). Sonuc: Yaptigimiz calismada ogrencilerde yuksek duzeyde depresyon, anksiyete ve stres belirti varligi tespit edilmistir; ileride saglik hizmeti sunacak olan tip fakultesi ogrencilerinin risk faktorleri goz onunde bulundurularak ogrencilere psikolojik destek saglanmalidir. Anahtar kelimeler: Depresyon; anksiyete; tip fakultesi; ogrenci Abstarct Objective: The aim of this study was to determine the depression, anxiety and stress levels of the students of faculty of medicine and to investigate the related factors. Materials and Methods: This is a cross-sectional study conducted on stratified sampling method in faculty of medicine students. Sociodemographic questionnaire and Depression Anxiety and Stress Scale (DASS) were applied to the participants. SPSS 19 package program was used for data analysis. Mean and standard deviations are given in descriptive statistics. Kruskal Wallis test and Mann Whitney U test were used to compare the mean scores of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale. P <0.05 was considered statistically significant. Results: In the study, 49.2% of the students had depression symptoms; Anxiety symptoms were found in 46.7% and stress symptoms in 49.8%. There were no significant differences between the scores obtained from the scale in terms of gender, marital status of parents, financial income perception, regular sports, alcohol use, and presence of chronic illness. The mean scores of the Depression Anxiety Stress Scale were found to be statistically significant according to the students' class, the success of the course, the willingness to choose the medical school, whether they had a recurrence of the year, whether they had a mental problem or not (p <0,05). Conclusion: In our study, high levels of depression, anxiety and stress symptoms were detected in the students; Psychological support should be provided to the students considering the risk factors of medical students who will provide health services in the future.
