Followup study of workers exposed to {ge}50 mSv/y radiation

1995
Congressional interest in the health status of federal contractor employees reported to have been exposed to ionizing radiation in excess of occupational standards prompted the followup of such individuals identified at U.S. Department of Energy (and predecessor agencies) facilities nationwide. A retrospective study of mortality and morbidity was designed and implemented by Oak Ridge Associated Universities to identify any adverse health outcomes among this group of individuals and to determine if any such outcomes were related to their prior occupational exposure at these facilities.
