2019
Objective: To study the quality of hospital performance of adults patients undergoing isolated coronary bypass graft surgery
Patients: Patients aged >17 years old undergoing isolated coronary surgery from January 2010 to December 2013 were studied.
We analyzed surgical procedure, postoperative complications and hospital mortality.
Results: Mean age of the 698 included patients was 65 ± 10.3 years. Three or more coronary bypass grafts were done in 82%
patients. Acute atrial fibrillation (13%) was the leading postoperative complication, acute myocardial infarction 2.9%, pneumonia
1.3% and stroke 0.4%. Hospital mortality was 1,7% (CI 95%: 0.8 - 2.96).
Conclusions: Hospital mortality and postoperative complications were low in patients undergoing isolated coronary surgery
