Valoración de la calidad asistencial hospitalaria en la cirugía coronaria aislada

Objective: To study the quality of hospital performance of adults patients undergoing isolated coronary bypass graft surgery Patients: Patients aged >17 years old undergoing isolated coronary surgery from January 2010 to December 2013 were studied. We analyzed surgical procedure, postoperative complications and hospital mortality. Results: Mean age of the 698 included patients was 65 ± 10.3 years. Three or more coronary bypass grafts were done in 82% patients. Acute atrial fibrillation (13%) was the leading postoperative complication, acute myocardial infarction 2.9%, pneumonia 1.3% and stroke 0.4%. Hospital mortality was 1,7% (CI 95%: 0.8 - 2.96). Conclusions: Hospital mortality and postoperative complications were low in patients undergoing isolated coronary surgery
