Preparation of Venlafaxine Hydrochloride Sustained-release Tablets and Release Behavior in Vitro

Objective: To prepare venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets and to evaluate release property in vitro.Methods: To prepare venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets by orthogonal test.A method for determination of release in vitro has been established and the release rate of venlafaxine hydrochloride was determined by UV.Results: Venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets have been prepared with 55% HPMC K100M.The release behavior is consistent with first kinetic equation.Conclusion: Venlafaxine hydrochloride sustained-release tablets prepared with 55% HPMC K100M have a better release behavior.
