Styrenic polymers having a bimodal molecular weight distribution

1997
The invention relates to styrene polymers with a bimodal molecular weight distribution having a high molecular weight fraction determined from the representation of the molar mass distribution, of at least 5 surface percent, and a molecular weight at a maximum peak Mp of at least 800,000 g/mol. These styrene polymers can be obtained through anionic polymerisation from vinylaromatic monomers with at least one double initiator dose.
