Valoración histoquímica de glucógeno hepático en el toro de lidia

2001
The quantity and distribution of hepatic glycogen have been studied in 30 bullfight 4 years old fought in permanent bullrings of the Region of Murcia. Glycogen levels in the liver of fought animals are minor than control animals and the distribution in the hepatic lobule is perivenous unlike control animals that is in all the lobule. This indicates that the production of glucose via glycogenolysis and its liberation to bloodstream start in the periportal zone. Furthermore, the minor quantity of hepatic glycogen is observed in the more weak animals during the fight.
