This essay aims to show how the concept of «life» takes on a decisive centrality in the thought of Juan David Garcia Bacca. Our author will use it as the cornerstone from which to reconstruct an epistemology incapable of giving account of that dynamic air and that kinetic perspective of moving bodies that, from the 1930s, Garcia Bacca understood as an inalienable requirement that contemporary sciences impose on thought.
