Manufacturing in Australia - Preparing for the 1990's

The time has now come for Australian manufacturing and other industries to commence the recovery back to the healthy periods they enjoyed some twenty or so years ago. Situations and conditions have changed and all efforts must be targeted to understanding these changes in order to prepare for that time. This paper reviews the changes that have occurred in particular in the manufacturing industry and draws from an experience of an Australian manufacturing company in facing these challenges.
