Research on towing of ocean platform with bucket foundation-impact of freeboard

The internal air pressure and bottom water pressure of the bucket,the acceleration of swaying,surging and heaving and towing power of platform were determined in the towing of the bucket foundation platform with different freeboards,under conditions of a certain velocity,location of buckets and incident wave,as an naval bucket foundation platform for example.The stress mechanism of the towing of the buck-et foundation platform with different freeboards is studied by the analysis of the test data.The results of this experiment show that the location of the freeboard must be higher than the location of mooring points and lower than the location of the nature freeboard;a certain height of water plug must be taken consider of pre-vents the overturning of the platform caused by the air leakage from the bucket foundation.
